From the first public rise of “The Gift” in 2019 to the long-awaited dedication of the American Indian Veterans Memorial on May 2, 2026, Hope Rising World Media Dept. has continued documenting this meaningful journey through photographs, field visits, and cultural remembrance.
What began as the story of a monument became something much deeper — a documentary path honoring Native American heroes, veterans, elders, sacred places, and the enduring spirit behind their service.
At the heart of this memorial stands “The Gift,” the monumental sculpture by A. Thomas Schomberg, now nearing its historic dedication at Riverside National Cemetery in California. Public event announcements list the dedication for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA, with ceremony activities scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ()
Over the years, Hope Rising World has followed more than a statue. We have sought to preserve memory — the faces, prayers, heritage, and sacrifice that give this memorial its true meaning.
This is not only the opening of a monument.
It is the recognition of a long journey.
It is a tribute to Native American veterans.
It is a story that must be remembered.
